However, it can also increase the risk of tooth decay, making it potentially problematic.<\/li><li><strong>Poor dental hygiene<\/strong> \u2013 Of course, neglecting to take care of your smile can easily lead to tooth discoloration of various types, including white spots.<\/li><li><strong>Unhealthy diet<\/strong> \u2013 A diet that\u2019s low in calcium can result in white spots on your teeth. Certain acidic or sugary foods can also lead to enamel decalcification.<\/li><li><strong>Certain medications<\/strong> \u2013 Though they\u2019re meant to help you, certain medicines such as amoxicillin or other antibiotics can affect your enamel, leaving your teeth more vulnerable to bacteria that results in white spots.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Are These Spots Addressed?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In several cases, white spots on teeth can be addressed with the help of teeth whitening.
